Anti-Aging Feedback: Patients on blood thinners such as Plavix and Coumadin should be treated cautiously due to increased risk of bleeding and bruising with injection. Some physicians will request that you discontinue the blood thinners 10 days prior to the procedure. You should consult with your doctor who will perform the procedure. He will look at your dosage and determine whether or not he wants you to decrease, discontinue or remain on your current meds prior to the procedure. Other than that, you can expect increased bruising and bleeding, but remember this is only an injection site, not major surgery.
