Can you answer Lina M’s question about Anti-Aging?:
i have some scars from acne and was wondering how well the at home microdermabrasion kits work. i was particualrly wondering if they work well on removing acne scars, most of the kits i’ve looked at dont say they do but the articles i’ve read on microdermabrasion say that it does. i was considering the neutrogena or avon kits. i’d really appreciate your feedback, thanks.

Anti-Aging Feedback: I find them good in the sense that they are rather like an effective facial scrub but they wont help with acen scarring- you would need a course of professional microdermabrasion facials for it to start to hav an effect on scarring. Worth it though- make the skin feel wonderfully clean and fresh
Anti-Aging Feedback: I certainly would not recommend it for anyone but especially someone with acne scars. If it really worked that well, no one would go to the doctors care and have it done.
Trying to do it yourself only makes matters worse. It scratches and tares the skin and makes it real red but does not accomplish the new skin smooth look you want. It really is not worth the damage it can do to your skin.
I had a friend who tried it and it took several months for her face to clear up from the red blotches.
Anti-Aging Feedback: Microdermabrasion kits can help the appearance of your skin if used correctly. You should only use it but every other day and do not use too much pressure. But as far as acne scarring it will not help much if your scars are deep or if they are ice pick in form. This will have to be dealt with by a dermatologist, using laser or maybe a chemical peel.
